I honestly don't understand all of the fuss about this school I get and yes we don't have one class dedicated to people with disabilities but those reviews are from years ago. We now in my school have Reading skills, Math skills and so much more to help people with disabilities the teachers are great and as someone who went from a terrible kid who had really bad anger issues with an IEP to a kid that is soon to be discharged from the Iep service. I say on my behalf that we are going to continue to improve better over the years and I hope to see more students come to the 2024 middle school of the year!

This is the 2nd year I have had the honor and privilege to serve and be part of the leadership team at Desert Mirage High School. I can attest firsthand to the love, dedication, and commitment from teachers, custodians, security, secretaries, counselors, cafeteria workers, wellness center, Latino Commission, health office, administrators, and all staff members towards our DMHS students and families. I am proud to be part of this great team.

Very engaged staff and families. Instruction is of high caliber, and students are supported even if they are having trouble keeping up.

**Concerning Experience at Wood Middle School** Reflecting on my time at Wood Middle School (WMS), I must express significant disappointment with several aspects of the educational experience offered. Administratively, WMS consistently fell short. The school struggled with basic organization, frequently misplacing important documents and causing unnecessary delays in processes like class scheduling and academic support. Attempts to address these issues with staff were met with indifference and unresponsiveness, leaving students and parents feeling frustrated and neglected. Academically, the quality of instruction was underwhelming. Many teachers lacked enthusiasm and failed to inspire students. Classroom materials were often outdated, and lessons felt disconnected from real-world relevance. This left students to navigate their education independently, relying heavily on external resources to supplement the inadequate curriculum. The condition of the school facilities was disappointing. Classrooms were often in disrepair, with insufficient resources and outdated technology. The library lacked a comprehensive collection of books and resources, hindering students' ability to engage in meaningful research and exploration. Socially, WMS lacked a sense of community and engagement. Extracurricular activities were limited and poorly organized, failing to provide students with opportunities for growth outside of the classroom. The overall atmosphere felt stagnant and uninspiring. Lastly, the tuition fees at WMS were disproportionate to the quality of education and facilities provided. Parents and students alike felt that they were not receiving value for the financial investment made in attending the school. In conclusion, my experience at Wood Middle School was marred by administrative disorganization, academic shortcomings, inadequate facilities, and a lack of community engagement. I would caution prospective students and families to thoroughly explore alternative educational options that prioritize student support, academic excellence, and a vibrant school environment.

I am a student here at DCS and feel like the staff targets me and many other individuals. In addition, the teachers often struggle to engage the students causing many to become bored.

I am a mom of a student at DCS and coming from my experience here at DCS I wouldn't recommend this. My child enjoyed coming to school here up until he started middle school, once he started middle school everything changed. He was expected to be perfect and was punished for every mistake which led him to be targeted by the staff here.

The reason why test scores are higher and academic scores are higher is due to the lack of education in comparison to last year. 1st and 2nd graders don’t even have to learn any spelling in any way shape or form. The things I was teaching my 1st grader last year he’s only just started at the end of second grade this year. Lower the standard of the education and up goes the ratings, what a coincidence.

My children have had another amazing year at Brooks ES. Each day they are excited to go to school. They have both grow academically and socially and really enjoy the Museum Magnet program so much. They have had many in school and off campus field trips, participated in many special programs like Chorus and enrichment groups and attended many fantastic assemblies. They learn from many wonderful, talented and caring teachers and I could not be more grateful!

As a student at Porter, I have realized that the admin does nothing to people who are getting bullied. Instead, to keep their reputation high, they ignore students who are in need. Punishing the students who are the victims harder. Not only do they promote no place for hate but, in reality are the opposite of that. The teachers don’t even step in if someone is getting bullied but, they rather ignore it. Which is why many students believe they are not safe from bullying at porter traditional school. I urge you all not to send your children here if you value your children.

Outstanding school with an amazing staff! The shared knowledge and collaboration among the teaching teams creates an energy and motivation to always strive for higher achievement. The school has an exciting learning environment for both students and staff. Just walking through the halls you will see smiles on the faces of students, staff and visitors. Warm and welcoming every day!

The experience I have had with this school is utterly disturbing. They are very unfair and treat a lot of their students poorly even blaming students as if they were some kind of scapegoats l. This truly is despicable and should be stopped.

Love this school for its after school programs, mostly funded by PTA. Strong academics for an elementary school. Kid will be challenged through spelling bee, debate club, math olympiad - MOEMS, science olympiad div A, First lego league and programs are constantly being added. Of all the 4 elementary schools in this zipcode, I would say this is the one with most engaged PTA and programs.
